Fitness and Pilates StudioPilates and personal training (download timetable)Total Physiotherapy Services’ Fitness and Pilates classes / Personal training sessions are conducted in a private studio setting, using qualified and experienced physiotherapists personal trainers. All pilates sessions can be claimed through private health funds. Personal Training:Sessions run on an appointment basis in a private air conditioned studio with one of our expert trainers. All clients receive an initial screening involving skin fold testing, blood pressure testing, anthropometric measurements (weight and height) and dietary screening. Appointments are taken particularly between 6am and 9am and from 5pm to 8pm. Most sessions involve one trainer per two PT clients (45 minute session), but sessions can allow for a specifically requested one-on-one session (45 minute session) or one-on-three PT clients (30 minute session). Exercise equipment utilises a Smith squat machine, Smith Bench press, Chest press, Lat Pull down, Seated row, Cross-over cable pulleys, Ezy-curl bar and free dumbbell weights, Bosu-Ball, Boxing pads and gloves, Reebok Step, Exercise Bike (Magnetic resistance) and Treadmill. All personal trainers are focussed on reducing injury and maximising strength and fitness benefits, and will cater all sessions according to your needs. Benefits include management of weight loss, general strength and flexibility, improving posture and cardiovascular fitness, post medical rehabilitation (eg, Diabetes, Cardiac Surgery), post injury rehabilitation or post-operative rehabilitation. Physiotherapists are available for consultation on any complexities prior to commencing personal training sessions. Ongoing screenings are conducted by the Personal Trainer. Clinical PilatesAll Pilates session use the Clinical Pilates reformers (solid teak construction); Pilates Chair and Pilates Circle; Swiss Ball/Gym Ball. Clinical reformers involve spring loaded resistance to selectively load the abdominals, upper back muscles and glutes. Pilates is extremely effective in significantly improving posture and particularly spinal pain and dysfunction; it is also an excellent method of shaping and toning the body in areas that are not traditionally exercised in a gym (inner thigh, buttocks, waist, upper back, shoulders and the back of the arms). All sessions are conducted by a qualified physiotherapist and accordingly heath find rebates apply.
